All of our product descriptions have the width and length in inches. To begin, measure the widest area of your body (for most of us it will be the hip not the waist). For the best coverage, there should be at least 8-10 inches of fabric in addition to your body measurement. For example, if you are a size 16 with a hip measurement of 45 you would want the sarong to be at least 53 inches otherwise you might show "leg". If your measurement is much smaller than the sarong is wide, there will extra fabric at the "tie" area. For the length, measure from your true waist to the floor. The sarong should not be more than 4-6 inches over your measurement, otherwise it will drag or be too much fabric at the top. Since many of our sarongs can be worn as dresses this is a guide, many women want their sarong longer to cover more when worn over chest. It will also depend if you wear your clothes higher or lower on waist. Our sarongs lean more toward a generous fit and are missy not junior. If you are still not sure please call one of our fit specialists at 888-315-5244.
